Ag-gag laws exist to punish whistleblowers for exposing cruelty to animals that those who traffic in such barbarity do not wish to public to see, know and rally against. These investigations have led to the uncovering of a multitude of unjust and inhumane practices including but not limited to: horns and tails being removed without anesthesia, confinement in crates where movement is so restricted they cannot even turn around and animals being dragged, maimed, beaten and thrown. These laws are unconstitutional and have far reaching ramifications into other realms of private business that limit the right to report illegal activities and ensure above all else, that profit is maintained over the protection of innocent life. It is often said that veganism and the animal liberation movement are a “voice for the voiceless” and exposure and challenge of ag-gag laws is the embodiment of that spirit.

We will not be silenced; their voices shall be heard.
